Recently, the national social science fund major project Collation and  Research on the atlas of mountains, rivers and scenic spots collected by the  National Library of China undertaken by Professor Zhong Zhen of Shanghai Normal  University is about to launch an important preliminary achievement, the ten  volume atlas books Collection of Atlas of Mountains, Rivers and Scenic spots of  the National Library of China.

The atlas is a collection of maps of scenic spots and mountains collected by  the National Library of China. It contains more than 70 kinds and nearly 800  pieces of representative maps of scenic spots and mountains. The creation time  of such maps is nearly 400 years from the Ming Dynasty to the Republic of China.  The book consists of three parts: the map of rivers, the map of mountains and  the map of scenic spots. It covers the famous mountains and rivers and  traditional scenic spots all over China. It is the first-hand material for  studying the ancient map, historical geography, painting and territory of China.  This book intends to use large format full-color fine printing high-definition  images, and through detailed description and problem-solving, to completely  present the original appearance of the documents and materials enriched by such  ancient maps.
