主讲人介绍：魏军城教授，加拿大皇家学会院士，目前担任香港中文大学数学系卓敏讲座教授，杰出创科学人（Global STEM Scholar）。他于2010年荣获晨兴数学银奖，2014年受邀在国际数学家大会作报告。2019年，当选加拿大皇家科学院院士，2020年荣获加拿大数学会Jeffery-Williams奖，并获选为西蒙斯数学研究员。魏军城教授主要研究领域是非线性偏微分方程、凝聚现象与爆破、数学生物学。他完整解决了著名的De Giorgi猜想。自1994年以来，魏军城教授已在顶级期刊（包括《Annals of Mathematics》《Inventiones Mathematicae》《Communications on Pure and Applied Mathematics》《Duke Mathematical Journal》）发表逾500篇论文。
内容介绍：In 2023, one year before he died, Brezis wrote 28 open questions that are challenging and he has resisted. In this talk we solve the first open question completely.
